Guide: How to Complete Every Prime Task

To lock in Prime status on Grok, you need to clear at least 5 of these 10 tasks. Remember that the 5 tasks must be completed before hitting 75% growth.

Here is the step-by-step breakdown for completing every task across the Gateway map.

1. Visit a Sanctuary as a Juvenile

Early Juvenile (0% – 50% growth)

Gateway Locations: Sanctuary zones are scattered across major biomes, including East Lake, Delta, Swamp, and Highlands.

How to Complete: Look at your HUD compass for the Sanctuary icon (a glowing tree/dome symbol). Walk directly into the Sanctuary area until the location prompt triggers on your screen, be mindful that if your growth is over 50% you may get attacked by bees. Use the dense flora and protective bee swarms to rest and feed safely while small.

2. Get Nested In

Spawn / Character Selection To get the "Get Nested In" Prime task checked off, you must spawn into the server from another player's egg.

1. Store your current dinosaur using the website and then, on the Dino select screen, go to the egg button.

2. Select a Nest Public Nest: Scroll through the list of species, click an open nest, and select Request to Join. Private Nest: Type your friend’s custom 4-digit Nesting Code into the entry box and submit it.

3. Get Perfect Diet

Must be completed before 75% growth.

How to Complete: Open your character status menu to view your three nutrient hexes (Protein, Carbs, Lipids). Consume the specific plants or prey types assigned to your species until all three nutrient symbols are fully illuminated at the same time. The higher your nutrients are, the better your growth rate will be.

Herbivores: Feed on preferred plants found around Sanctuaries and Migration Zones.

Carnivores: Hunt specific prey species or target specific organs from fresh carcasses.

4. Visit Mass Migration Zone

Must be completed before 75% growth.

How to Complete: Press Q to sniff and check your compass for the active Mass Migration icon. Mass Migration Zones shift across major landmarks like South Plains, North Sanctuary, or Central River. Travel to the active zone, cross the perimeter until the prime task tells you, you've done the task, and exit safely.

5. Visit 2 Migration Zones

Must be completed before 75% growth.

How to Complete: Standard Migration Zones cycle periodically as food sources shift across the map. You must physically step foot inside two different Migration Zones during your growth phase.

6. Visit 4 Patrol Zones

Must be completed before 75% growth.

How to Complete: Patrol Zones are smaller regional areas spread throughout the maps biomes (Highlands, Redwoods, Access Lake, River Delta, Plains, etc.). As you travel across the map, pass through four distinctly named regions. You do not need to stay in them long, entering the zone boundary registers the progress.

7. Never Be Infertile

Passive (Lifetime)

How to Complete: Infertility happens when your dinosaur suffers from severe, prolonged starvation or chronic malnutrition. Keep your hunger bar above 20% and maintain at least one active nutrient hex throughout your entire lifespan.

8. Never Get Muscle Spasms

Passive (Lifetime)

How to Complete: Muscle spasms are caused strictly by cannibalism (eating the flesh of your own species). Hold Q to sniff every carcass before eating.

9. Raise Children to Sub-adults

Can be raised as Sub Adult (50% Growth)

How to Complete: Once you reach Sub Adult, pair up with a member of the opposite sex of your species, construct a nest, and lay eggs. After player juveniles hatch from your nest, keep them fed and protected until they reach the sub-adult growth milestone.

10. Play an Eligible Species
