❀️ Health

Your health bar shows how much health your dinosaur currently has.

Low health: You are injured and vulnerable. Health can recover over time depending on your dinosaur and situation. Avoid unnecessary fights when badly injured.

πŸ’€ Resting

Resting can help your dinosaur recover depending on its mechanics.

Find somewhere safe before resting.

Never assume you're safe just because you're sitting down!

⚑ Stamina

You Cannot regenerate stamina while moving fast if your pool is too low,and resting via H key is required to recover from deep exhaustion.

Stamina Recovery Thresholds

  • 75% to 100% Stamina: You can recover stamina while trotting, walking, standing, or resting.
  • 50% to 75% Stamina: Trotting no longer works. You must walk, stand still, or rest to recover.
  • 25% to 50% Stamina: Walking and standing no longer work. You must sit/rest to recover.
  • 0% to 25% Stamina: Deep rest (holding H to lie down) is strictly required to gain any stamina back

Stamina is used for things like:

  • Sprinting
  • Jumping
  • Attacking
  • Certain abilities

Beginner tip: Don't drain your stamina under 60% when travelling. Keep some in reserve in case you need to escape a predator or chase prey.

πŸ– Food

Your food bar shows how much food your dinosaur has.

When it gets low, you need to find food before starving.

Depending on your dinosaur, food may come from:

  • Carcasses
  • Plants
  • Fish
  • Other food sources

Tip: Don't wait until you're completely empty before looking for food!

Mechanics of Overeating

  • The Warning: Your stomach icon starts flashing when you are close to the limit.

  • The Penalty: Eating past the limit causes you to purge, clearing your food, water, and accrued diet nutrients.

  • Vomit Sickness: Your stamina, hunger, and thirst bars turn yellow, get capped at reduced percentages, and slowly recover over time. Eating while sick yields zero nutritional value.

  • The Cure: You can cure vomit sickness early by finding and eating from a Salt Deposit, though this drains some of your current nutrients.

Exceptions and Rules

No-Penalty Dinos: Ceratosaurus and Deinosuchus are exceptions and can overeat without vomiting (for Ceratosaurus, overindulging even strengthens its rotting bite toxicity).

Mutations: Certain mutations (like specific Pteranodon traits or secret slot unlocks) can alter or expand your overeating thresholds.

πŸ’§Water

Your water bar shows how hydrated you are. Find a water source when your thirst gets low

⚠️ Be careful around water! Rivers and lakes can be dangerous places because predators may be waiting nearby.

🧬 Diet

Diet is an important part of growing your dinosaur.

Your dinosaur has specific diet requirements. Eating the correct foods helps you obtain the nutrients needed for your diet. If you keep your diets high your dinosaur will have more growth %, in other words it will grow faster.

Reading Your Diet UI

Open the TAB menu to view your three active nutrient slots(Alpha,Beta and Gamma)

A-Carbohydrates B-Proteins Y-Fats

Finding Diet for Carnivores

Using Scent:

Finding Diet for Carnivores

Spam E to Rip the skin of Dinos until you can see the meat. Press H to take out the organs that you need for your diet.

TIP- Put the organs a few feet away from body so the organs don't disappear.

Organs:

Heart: Gives you B

Lungs: Gives you A

Intestines: Gives you Y

Stomach: Gives you A

Finding Diet for Herbivores

Zones:

Your required plants change depending on your designated Migration Zone or Patrol Zone.

Sanctuaries:

Young herbivores can eat the red mushrooms found inside Sanctuary zones to safely fill all three diet slots.

Scent:

Hold Q while standing still to highlight correct diet plants for the Dino your playing.

🦴 Bleeding

If you're bleeding, you'll lose health over time.

Bleeding can come from:

  • Attacks
  • Falls
  • Certain environmental dangers

You can still die from running out of blood even with full health so be careful.

Try to get somewhere safe and allow yourself time to recover.

πŸ‘‚ Awareness

Use your senses and listen carefully. The Isle is heavily based around sound and awareness.

Listen for:

  • Footsteps
  • Calls
  • Growls
  • Splashes
  • Nearby dinosaurs

Sometimes you'll hear danger before you see it.

πŸ—ΊοΈ Map

Your map helps you navigate the island.

Use landmarks to help determine where you are:

  • Rivers
  • Roads
  • Mountains
  • Buildings
  • Coastlines
  • Unique terrain

The Map also shows you the active Migration zones, Patrol Zones and Sanctuary.

Beginner tip: Don't constantly stare at your map while travelling. Look around you too!
